How to avoid viagra’s 50% price hike
More than 50% of the world’s viagra has been cut by a $30 increase in the cost of the drug in the US, according to a new report.
The drug was originally sold in the UK and Canada in 2011, and was priced at $13 a pill before the government raised the price in August 2016.
A report by the consulting firm Aveda said on Thursday that the price of the pill has jumped from $13.70 a pill in 2011 to $19.80 a pill on Friday, and will remain at $19 a pill through April 2021.
Viagra was developed by Pfizer, the UK’s largest drugmaker, which was bought by GlaxoSmithKline in 2013.
