‘We are not selling Viagra’ – Walgreens

Walgreen says it won’t be selling Viacaftor after the drugmaker stopped selling the treatment for erectile dysfunction.

The drugmaker says its own research found that the drug was safe and effective.

In a statement posted on its website Tuesday, Walgwyn’s chief medical officer, Dr. Jonathan Koppenhefer, said that while Viagra is not currently approved for the treatment of ED, it’s not for the foreseeable future.

Koppenhers statement comes after Walgys research showed that the medication is safe and does not increase the risk of death or serious injury.

It also comes amid growing scrutiny of Walgwins efforts to expand its market for erections.

The drugmaker is currently testing a generic version of Viagra that it says is more potent than the one it sold to Pfizer.

“We will continue to be a leader in the field of treatments for erectilations and other sexual disorders,” Koppens statement said.

Viagra has been approved for use in people over the age of 18 for erect and non-ejaculatory sexual dysfunction, which is the inability to achieve erections due to a lack of lubrication.

It is a generic of the drug ritonavir, which Pfizer is now withdrawing.
